At Mountain View Volleyball, our mission is to ignite passion, foster growth, and build a tight-knit community of young athletes. We believe in the power of teamwork, dedication, and sportsmanship. Our commitment extends beyond the court; we aim to develop well-rounded individuals who excel not only in volleyball but also in life.

Club Fees & Financial Policies
2025/2026 Projected Club Fees (GST not included)
- • 17/18U: $2,900 - $3,500
- • 15/16U: $2,900 - $3,500
- • 14U: $2,500 - $2,800
- • 13U: $1,800 - $2,200
- • Non-competitive teams: $1,300
- • All athletes require a youth competitive membership with Volleyball Alberta - This amount needs to be paid up front and will be deducted from fees owed
- • $1,000 non-refundable deposit due at signing
- • Payment schedule: Deposit at signing, ⅓ Nov 1st, ⅓ Dec 1st, remainder Jan 1st
- • All fees must be paid before Premier 2 for continued eligibility
- • All athletes must stay in the designated hotels when events are not local. Exceptions can be made if needed but this is not recommended.
- • Exhibition tournaments: $50 per athlete (minimum 8 athletes)
- • Fundraising opportunities available to offset costs
Training & Competition
- • Up to 3 practices per week (1.5-2.5 hours each)
- • Practices held in Didsbury, Cremona, Bowden, Carstairs, or Airdrie
- • Late practice times possible (up to 10 PM end time)
- • Rest periods on stat holidays and school breaks - we will try to schedule non-gym activities for team building during these times
- • Tournament entry fees for up to 3 Volleyball Alberta Premiers and Provincials included
- • National tournament costs charged separately if team qualifies
- • Additional tournaments may be available at extra cost
Code of Conduct
Athletes Must:
- • Show respect and sportsmanship at all times
- • Attend all practices and events unless excused
- • Arrive 15 min before practice, 45 min before games
- • Update TeamSnap by noon day before practice
- • Follow hotel curfew (9:30 PM room time)
- • Maintain academic responsibility
- • Abstain from alcohol, tobacco, and illegal substances
Parents Must:
- • Demonstrate positive sportsmanship
- • Stay in designated waiting areas during practice
- • Follow 24-hour rule before addressing concerns
- • Fulfill financial obligations on time
- • Support team bonding events and activities
- • Maintain positive social media presence
Communication & Meetings
- • Monthly parent meetings during first hour of first practice each month
- • Meetings chaired by Club Director with pre-submitted agenda items
- • All communications through official club channels
- • 24-hour rule for addressing concerns with Director Tracey Dyck
- • Zero tolerance policy for code of conduct violations
Training & Coaching
- • Professional coaching fees and travel expenses
- • Up to 3 practices per week
- • Just under 6 months of training and competition (September to March)
- • Team balls and equipment for practices
- • Access to specialized training facilities
Uniforms & Gear
- • Uniforms (2 colors) with club name, logo, and number - will not be customized
- • Mizuno bag (given once every 2 years, based on availability - brand may change)
- • Sweatpants, hoodie, training shirt, arm sleeves
- • All items include logo, jersey #, and name
- • Knee pads and other personal equipment not included
